The holidays have a way of sweeping us up in sparkle and chaos at the same time. Between gatherings, travel and to-do lists that never end, itās easy to lose touch with ourselves, to move fast, eat fast and think fast.
This year, Iām reminding myself (and you!) that peace doesnāt have to be something we chase, itās something we choose. Here are a few simple ways Iām staying grounded and rooted in gratitude this season:
1. Roll Out the Mat š§āāļø
Thereās something sacred about stepping into a warm studio, silencing your phone, and simply breathing. Iāve been practicing at Inner Bliss YogaĀ for over ten years- itās my anchor in the chaos, the place where I reconnect with my body and quiet my mind. If you havenāt been, treat yourself to a class this holiday season- youāll walk out feeling lighter, I promise.
I also highly recommend Hope Yoga Studio, another beautiful space for grounding and renewal.
If youāre in the Cincinnati area, Body Alive is definitely worth checking out. They offer a range of fitness classes and a welcoming community vibe.
2.Ā Take Long Walks with a Girlfriend š¶āāļø
Some of my best therapy sessions happen on the sidewalk, bundled up with a friend. Thereās a quiet magic in the cool air hitting your face, laughter and uninterrupted conversation. Itās one of the simplest - and most grounding - ways to reset.
3.Ā Listen to your Favorite Podcast š§
When I need perspective or a spiritual reset, I reach for Dear Gabby podcasts by Gabby Bernstein. Her voice and wisdom remind me to release control and trust that life is unfolding as it should. Itās my favorite soul-soothing companion on morning drives or walks.
4.Ā Find Balance - Even During the Holidays āØ
The holidays are meant to be enjoyed, the festive meals, the desserts, the cozy cocktails or mocktails. Itās all part of the season. The key is remembering that wellness isnāt about perfection, itās about balance. When Iāve indulged, I love to start the next morning with something that helps my body reset, our Medical Medium inspired Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie. Itās made with blueberries, cilantro, barley grass powder, dulse, spirulina, banana, with a splash of coconut water and orange juice. It helps detox and cleanse my liver and support me feeling better.
5.Ā Turn āOffā by 8 PM š“
This boundary has changed everything: my phone goes off at 8 p.m. No scrolling, no texts, no ājust one more emailā or just one more gift. Instead, I stretch, read, or talk with my husband. That quiet transition before bed brings me back to myself and itās when gratitude really settles in.

A Note from Me to You
This season, give yourself permission to slow down. Sip something nourishing. Move your body. Call someone you love. And remember gratitude isnāt a once-a-year feeling; itās a daily practice that keeps us grounded and connected.
From our Green Farm family to yours, wishing you a calm, cozy, and joy-filled holiday season. āļøāØ
