At Green Farm Juicery, we believe some of the most powerful wellness practices are also the simplest. For the past month, I’ve been following the Medical Medium Celery Juice Protocol- drinking 16 ounces of pure celery juice every morning on an empty stomach. No lemon, no ice, no add-ins. Just fresh celery, consistently.
This month-long practice was especially meaningful for me because I have been on a recovery journey with POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome). Celery juice has been discussed and explored within wellness and research communities for its potential to support hydration, mineral balance, and nervous system regulation- areas that are often challenging for those with POTS. Rather than approaching this as a cleanse or quick fix, I treated it as an experiment in consistency, curiosity, and listening closely to my body.
The first week was primarily about adjustment. Instead of immediate relief, I noticed increased digestive awareness, bloating shifted, sensations became more noticeable, and it felt as though my gut was waking up after being on autopilot. For someone with POTS, tuning into bodily signals is familiar territory, and this felt like the early stages of recalibration rather than discomfort.
By the second week, things began to feel lighter. My stomach felt less weighed down, bloating decreased significantly, and overall hydration throughout the day improved. This was also when I began noticing subtle but meaningful changes related to my POTS symptoms. Daily headaches, which had been a pretty consistent part of my routine, were no longer showing up. My energy felt steadier, and I experienced fewer blood sugar–like dips and shakiness. Even my heart felt calmer, with noticeably fewer palpitations.
Week three brought quieter, more consistent changes. My digestion settled into a more regular rhythm, facial puffiness in the mornings decreased, and there was a gentle sense of detoxification, nothing extreme or disruptive. From a POTS perspective, I felt more resilient moving through the day, less reactive to standing, and more supported overall. The shifts weren’t dramatic, but they were reliable, which felt significant.
By week four, celery juice no longer felt like something I was making myself do. I began waking up with more natural energy and genuinely craving celery juice and raw vegetables. My skin felt softer and more hydrated, and the practice itself felt fully integrated rather than forced. Supporting my body in this simple way felt empowering, especially alongside a condition that often requires constant management.
We share experiences like this not to promote quick fixes or universal solutions, but to highlight what can happen when simple, whole ingredients are used consistently and intentionally. Healing, especially when navigating chronic conditions like POTS, is rarely loud or instant. More often, it builds quietly over time, one small, supportive habit at a time.
